Exhibition Photo – Water Feature at Oriel Ty Coch

We visited Oriel Ty Coch (Red House Gallery) Art Gallery yesterday in Pontcanna, Cardiff.  They are featuring our RHS Cardiff Show water feature as part of an exhibition of outside inspired art.  Here’s a quick photo of the water feature in place.  The water feature measured 750mm high x 250mm wide and is priced at £1199.99 including reservoir, pump etc.

Oriel Ty Coch will also be showing our other glass pieces on a longer term basis including our range of sushi dishes, coasters and more.

RHS Cardiff Show 2010 – Water Feature Panels in the Kiln

Glass Panels for a water feature before firing in the kiln

Here’s a “Before” photo of 4 of the panels for the water feature in the kiln ready to be fired.  The panels will be fired to a temperature of 1400 degrees Fahrenheit / 760 degrees Celsius over a period of around 16 hours.  Some of the glass will change colour as part of the firing process.  We’ll post an “After” photo tomorrow.

Latest Design – Red Candy Stripe 4 Panel

Here are the latest visualisations of a glass panel.  This one is the size of two breeze blocks to make it very easy to fit into a wall.  4 fused Candy Stripe pink/red/lavender panels are rotated across a clear 6mm sheet of glass.  The panel is hand made, going through multiple firings in a kiln up to temperatures of 1500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Each panel is made to order and so exact combinations of colours and patterns are totally bespoke.
